Copycat Bourbon Chicken

A sticky, sweet, and savory dupe for the classic mall food court bourbon chicken. It's made in one pan with no alcohol, using apple juice for that classic flavor.

Cook and chop the chicken, then set aside. Give it a quick salt/pepper/garlic powder, then sear on medium-high for 5-7min per side or until cooked through.

In the same pan, add all sauce ingredients and bring to a simmer. In a small bowl, mix the water and cornstarch to create a slurry, then stir the cornstarch slurry into the pan to thicken the sauce.

Add the chicken back in and simmer for 10–15 minutes until the sauce thickens and caramelizes.
