These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the Mise iOS application. By installing or using the app you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
You must be at least 13 years old (16 in the EU/EEA/UK) to use Mise. By using the app you represent that you meet this requirement and have authority to enter these Terms.
Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use Mise on devices you own or control, solely for personal, non-commercial purposes.

When you submit a URL to import a recipe, you represent that you have the right to view that content. The recipe extracted from your submission is generated by AI based on the public video. We do not host the original video.
By submitting a URL you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive licence to retrieve and process the content from that URL for the sole purpose of generating a recipe and delivering it to you. The resulting recipe is stored in our database and may be shown to other users who submit the same URL.
You retain ownership of any rights you may have in your own ratings and personal recipe library.
Recipes and step photos in Mise are produced by a machine-learning model (Google Gemini). They are provided as is for inspiration and convenience. They are not professional culinary, nutritional, or medical advice.
We make no warranty that AI-generated content is accurate, complete, or safe.
Mise offers a free tier with a limited number of recipe imports, plus optional paid Pro and Ultra subscriptions (monthly or yearly) that raise your import quota. Payment is processed through Apple's App Store under Apple's billing terms; we do not handle your payment details. Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period — you can manage or cancel anytime in your App Store account settings. Prices, quotas, and renewal terms are disclosed at the point of purchase. Refunds are handled by Apple under their policies. Subscription state is managed via RevenueCat (see the Privacy Policy).
The app may link to third-party services (e.g., Instagram, the original author's profile). We are not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of those services. Linking does not imply endorsement.
All intellectual property rights in Mise (excluding user content and AI-generated recipes you save) belong to the app's owner. The name "Mise", the logo, and the design are protected.
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, attempt to abuse the service, or for legal or operational reasons. You may terminate at any time by deleting your account from inside the app (Settings → Delete Account).
Upon termination, your saved-recipe list, your shopping list, your Firebase Auth record, and your FCM device token are removed. Cached recipe data created by your submissions may remain, anonymously, in our cache.
The app is provided as is and as available, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, in no event shall the app's owner, contributors, or service providers be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages (including loss of data, profits, or goodwill) arising out of or relating to your use of the app, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
Our total aggregate liability for any direct damages will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid for the app in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) USD 10.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the app's owner against any claim arising from your misuse of the app or violation of these Terms.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Effective date" and, where appropriate, by an in-app notice. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the app's owner resides, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. To the extent the App Store EULA applies, it prevails in the case of conflict.
You acknowledge that these Terms are entered into between you and the app's owner — not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content. In the event of any failure of the app to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any). Apple has no other warranty obligation whatsoever. Apple is a third-party beneficiary of these Terms and has the right to enforce them against you.
