Boil the lemon in water for 5 minutes to soften it.
Remove the lemon from the water, cut it into chunks, and remove all seeds.
Add the lemon chunks, sugar, vanilla sugar, salt, eggs, milk, and vegetable oil to a bowl.
Blend the mixture with an immersion blender until smooth.
Add the flour and baking powder, and whisk until just combined.
Pour the batter into a lined loaf pan. You can score the top lightly with a toothpick.
Bake in a preheated oven at 160°C for 1 hour.
Remove the cake from the oven and let it cool completely.
Mix powdered sugar and lemon juice to create a glaze, and drizzle it over the cooled cake. Finish with some lemon zest if desired.
