Slice the rack of ribs between the bones to create individual party ribs.
In a bowl, combine half of the brown sugar, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and smoked paprika to make a dry rub.
Generously coat the individual ribs on all sides with the dry rub.
Place the ribs on the smoker and cook until they develop a nice crust and deep red color.
In a saucepan, combine the cherry cola, remaining brown sugar, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, smoked paprika, cherry preserves, and hot sauce. Simmer until the mixture reduces into a thick, sticky glaze.
Transfer the smoked ribs into an aluminum foil pan. Top with cubes of butter and pour the reduced cherry cola glaze over them.
Cover the pan tightly with aluminum foil and return to the smoker to braise until the ribs are completely tender.
