In a pot of hot water, add 1 tablespoon of oil, a piece of onion, and the rotini pasta. Boil and let cook for 8 minutes.
In a separate pan, add a splash of oil and the butter. Melt the butter over medium heat.
Add the cooked, drained pasta to the pan with the melted butter and sauté for a few seconds to coat.
Pour the jar of tomato sauce over the pasta. Rinse the empty jar with a little bit of the starchy pasta cooking water and pour it into the pan to get all the remaining sauce. Mix everything very well.
Top the pasta with a generous amount of mozzarella cheese. Cover with a lid and let the cheese melt completely.
Serve hot and enjoy!
Cook it hands-free.
